Winter Parking Ban Information

Winter Parking Ban SignParking vehicles upon any street for more than one hour between the hours of 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m. is prohibited from November 15 through April 15 each year (City of Westbrook Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 31, Section 108).

Our late shift Officers will be placing warning cards on parked cars to remind everyone about the ban. Officers will begin issuing parking tickets for the violation after November 15. Along with being ticketed, vehicles may be towed if they are obstructing snow plowing operations. A vehicle is also subject to being towed after three outstanding parking tickets for 10 days or more.

There are several locations where off-street, overnight parking is available. Please check the signs in these areas and park only in the designated spaces:

  • American Legion Lot - Dunn Street
  • Ash Street Municipal Parking Lot
  • Bicentennial Park/Skate Park Lot - William Clarke Drive
  • Church Street Municipal Parking Lot (Warren Congregational Church)
  • Municipal Parking Lot on Mechanic Street (behind CVS)
  • Skating Rink Lot - Lincoln Street
  • Walker Library Lot - Main Street
  • Warren Ball Field Lot - Stevens Avenue
  • Warren Pool Lot - Main Street

Please help the Police and Public Services Departments get ready for the upcoming winter weather by not parking on the street overnight!
