Drouin Dance Center, located at the Dana Warp Mill on Bridge Street in Westbrook is an award winning dance center that draws students and dancers from all over Southern and Central Maine.
Located in an 8,600 square foot facility, classes are offered in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Musical Theater, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, Creative Movement, Irish Step Dance, Mommy & Me, and more for beginner through advanced levels, ages walking through adult.
Fitness classes such as ZUMBA!, Bar Sculpt, Senior Stretch and Let Your Yoga Dance are offered for adults. Adaptive Dance programs for intellectually and physically disabled children and adults, as well as specialized dance programs for home schooled children are part of the Drouin Dance Center curriculum.
The friendly and welcoming environment is open to any student of any age who wishes to study dance for fun, exercise, and to build a solid dance foundation. Classes range from 6-Week sessions, to school-year programs, Summer classes and Summer camps and various special events throughout the year. Special classes for adults only, from basic beginner to advanced are a great way to learn to dance at any age.
Drouin Dance Center is home to the Drouin Dance Center Dance Company, an intensive, pre-professional program for dancers ages six to eighteen. Dancers compete and take Master Classes throughout New England and nationally.
Dancers have been chosen to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Portland Ballet Company’s The Nutcracker, and have been selected for the Turn it Up National Dance Team.
