Employee of the Quarter is a City award that is presented to an employee who consistently demonstrates exceptional job knowledge, customer service, positive attitude and who has given more to the community than expected in their day to day job. Employees are nominated by their peers and supervisors and selected by the Employee of the Quarter Committee.
It is with pleasure that we announce the recipient of the Employee of the Quarter for the City of Westbrook, for July of 2017 through September of 2017, is Captain Christopher Shepard!
Chris began his career with the City of Westbrook in 2001 as a full-time firefighter and was promoted to the rank of Captain in 2012. Along with his regular duties, Captain Shepard oversees the development of members’ training programs and spends much of his time and effort updating and delivering quality training and guidance to his team. Chris continues to go above and beyond while conducting, “Rookie School”, which orients new members to their jobs as firefighters, as well as various drills within the City. Chris continues to be an asset to his department, as well as our community as a whole.
Captain Shepard, we appreciate your dedication to the City, and its employees and citizens. It is an honor to be nominated by your peers and to be recognized for the great work you do.
