Walker Memorial Library - Youth Services
The Friends will be hosting their annual book and plant sale in the front of the Walker Memorial Library on Saturday, June 4th from 9 am to 2 pm weather permitting. There is something for everyone: adult non-fiction, adult fiction, children’s books and plants! Come help show your love for the library. All funds go to help support the library.
If you are interested donating books or plants for our sale, you can drop them off the day of the book sale from 7 am to 9 am.
The Friends of the Walker Memorial Library Book Club meets the second Wednesday of the month at 2 pm. We will be meeting at the Community Center. If you are interested in joining, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. This months selection is “The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig. You can request a copy of the book from the library.
Westbrook City Hall will be open until 7:00pm on Wednesday, June 8th for absentee voting and voter registration.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the State Primary & School Budget Validation Referendum held on June 14th is 4pm on Thursday, June 9th. After this date and time, absentee ballots may only be issued to voters who qualify under certain Special Circumstances.
