Community Involvement

Westbrook Police Department is a community policing oriented department, and we are proud to be part of our community. The following are examples of how we interact with the Westbrook community.

National Night Out Events

National Night Out is a yearly event held outside our Community Policing Center on Brown Street. It gives us the opportunity to interact with the community and enjoy some grilled food and ice cream.

Wreaths Across America

Westbrook PD is a proud participant in Wreaths Across America.  This is an annual event in which Maine-made wreaths are escorted to Washington DC, to be laid at the grave sites of our fallen soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.  Westbrook Officers assist with the escort and laying of the wreaths.  The motto of Wreaths Across America is "Remember, Honor, Teach", and Westbrook PD is proud to be part of this.
