The Westbrook Police Department has founded the Community Approach to Stopping Heroin (CASH) coalition. This is a coalition of over 70 individuals and organizations dedicated to stopping the Heroin and drug epidemic gripping our City.

The City of Westbrook recently hired its first ever CASH Coordinator - Ms. Shelby Briggs - to oversee the coalition's efforts. More information on CASH will be posted soon. To seek more information on CASH or to join our coalition, please Email Shelby Briggs.

Officers Carrying Narcan

Westbrook Police Officers are now carrying Narcan. Narcan is an antidote that reverses the effects of an opioid overdose. Officers have already administered it several times and saved several lives by administering Narcan. Every second counts in a drug overdose. If you suspect someone is overdosing, call 911 immediately!

Peer Support Group for Teens

CASH now sponsors a weekly support group for teenagers who have been affected by substance use. The group meets on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at:

Frenchtown Community Policing Center

192 Brown Street
Westbrook, ME 04092

The group is free and confidential, and is open to teenagers between the ages of 13 and 18.
